The immediate position is a contract-based role within a large Fortune 100 organization.
Vision for this Role:
The associate PM is someone who may be new to project management (1-2) years experience and has assisted or played roles in projects before but has not managed them by themselves. They are hardworking and hoping to one day move up into the lead PM role. This person is confident enough to be center stage running a meeting but also humble enough to work in the background supporting the team. They should have thirst for knowledge, a desire to succeed, and the natural ability to anticipate the next steps. They are not intimidated by fast-paced projects, do not mind working odd hours to accommodate multiple time zones, and are self-driven to become an integral part of the team.
Day to Day Activities:
Work closely with the lead PM to ensure the team is being supported
Be responsive to emails and changing schedules on a regular basis
Research through corporate documents, housed in multiple locations, for data relating to the project
Attend regular project meetings, assimilate the knowledge from those meetings, and apply it to research
Create and format slide decks, under the instruction of the lead PM, that relate to the project
Take thorough meeting notes during meetings for the team refer to later if needed
Organize documentation for the team to gain quick access to, including having a deep understanding of where documents are stored
Day in the Life:
Log in and meet with the lead PM on a project to define the scope of the day
Answer emails and responses to meeting invites
Schedule additional meetings for the team
Attend team check-in meetings
Update a Findings Document with new findings from team meeting
Research new topics identified in team meetings and load identified resources to team’s drive
Mid-day check-in with lead PM
Assist team members in locating a document
Answer emails and responses to meeting invites
Schedule additional meetings for the team
Build slide deck template for new campaigns for the lead PM to review
Research topic requested by team member
Ensure all requests have been addressed and log out for the day
Technical Skills:
Need to have an intermediate experience with Excel
Creating Pivot tables, filtering data, and basic formula knowledge (count, sum, avg, etc.)
Need to have an intermediate experience with Word
Formatting documents, saving docs as PDF, track changes, etc.
Need to have an intermediate experience with Powerpoint
Creating slide decks, formatting tools, use of animation
Experience with SharePoint and OneDrive
Saving, sharing, and collaborating (real-time) on documents
Experience using File Servers
Experience with Smartsheets is a plus
Experience taking meeting notes
Comfort with presenting data to a known group
Scheduling using Outlook and over multiple regions
Action register or tracking actions is a plus.
